bearBOI (they/xe/he) is a black trans portrait photographer and visual content creator from the DMV. Predominantly, their work celebrates the beauty of everyday life at the intersections of black queerness, allowing the underrepresented to take up space, be seen and be heard. In their words, xe “knows how that perm felt on their scalp.” They are currently based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
